Training

As with everything training is absolutely vital to ensure you run a proper and professional business.

We provide 2 days full training for you and your staff on your premises.

During this time you are taught all the essentials for running the ceramics within your business. This is vital to your success in the future and very well worthwhile. Sometimes you and your staff will have limited or no knowledge of ceramics. In 2 days you will learn an amazing amount and this makes life so much easier and problem free in the future.

We can help with the design, layout, logisitics

Rachel will take the staff through the basics of running and organising a ceramic business.  This includes firing a kiln, glazing, product knowledge, simple painting skills. We will also cover marketing your new business, how to sell it to schools/ nurseries or within your own premises.   

We cover Health and Safety, how to take bookings for parties and the RIGHT questions to ask the customer.

We explain how to run Birthday Parties, After School Club and go over other ideas to make extra income such as easy gifts, Hen Nights and evening classes .  

Rachel teaches, marketing, organisation, taking bookings, preparation and running of parties. You are taught the basics of painting including Brush Strokes.   

We ensure your kiln is delivered and installed in time for the training either by your own electrician (preferable) or our kiln engineer. 

Rachel then lets the staff glaze their own work before being shown how to operate the kiln. Then on the first night she shows them how to load the kiln and programme it, so staff can see how it is done. They then load and fire their pieces overnight and then taken out of the kiln the following day. They are usually amazed and pleased with what they have done and are therefore motivated for the future.

After the 2 days training we are available to give 6 months ongoing telephone support, 7 days a week, in order to help with any questions or problems you may have .  There are normally very few, but it is still comforting to know help is at hand if required. We all make mistakes!! 

This  service is not normally offered as part of other packages.
